Chad outsmarts Maya...

Maya has been obsessed with Hurricane Sandy. She was telling her class all about how the storm was windy and started at the beach. She asked me yesterday where Sandy went. I kept telling her that the storm was gone. She kept asking "but where did Sandy go?" I kept saying "it's just gone." Needless to say, she wasn't satisfied with my answer. Who can blame her. Science isn't my forte.

Tonight after dinner, she asked about Sandy again. I looked at Chad and said "Can you take this?" Here is how their exchange went.

Maya: "Where did Sandy go?"
Chad: "It's gone."
Maya: "But WHERE did Sandy go?"
Chad: "Do you really want to know?"
Maya: (nods)
Chad: "It dissipated."
Maya: "Can I have some more milk?"
